Athletics

Athletics and clubs are an extension of Ramsey’s strong educational program. The Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) Athletics Department has recently realigned middle school athletics programs. Seventh and eighth grade students at Ramsey can participate athletics at Washburn. More information on the options available can be found on the Washburn athletics site, http://gowbmillers.com, including key forms.

Additional activities available to Ramsey students include Girls on the Run (fall), Lake Calhoun Sailing Team (fall), Minneapolis Alpine Ski Team (winter), Mountain Biking (summer/fall), and Ultimate Frisbee (spring). After School

Minneapolis Community Education and the Extended Learning Program offer a variety of classes open to registration for all students. Registration is passed out to students in Advisory. Additional copies are available outside the Community Education Office (Room 106) or can be downloaded from the Ramsey Community Education website: http://youth.mpls.k12.mn.us/ramsey.

Before School

6th, 7th, and 8th grade students currently registered at Ramsey Middle School are welcome to join our before school drop-in program. Activities include shooting baskets in the gym, finishing a school assignment, designing your favorite piece of jewelry, and so much more.
