My name is Grace Peterson and I'm excited to be part of the Ramsey community.

I am teaching 7th grade U.S. Studies, an exciting, rigorous course focusing on the relevance of U.S. history connected to our current day.  My teaching philosophy is that students should be at the forefront of their learning, constructing their knowledge through hands-on, relevant learning, critical thinking, and always allowed the space to talk and verbalize their ideas.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Family Social Science and completed my Teaching License 5-12 Social Studies through Bethel University Graduate program, and am currently enrolled at St. Mary's University graduate school pursuing my English Language Learner's teaching license.

I taught 7th grade Social Studies for two years in Columbia Heights, 8th grade Global Studies and 7th grade U.S. Studies for one year at Nellie Stone Johnson School in North Minneapolis, and was at Ramsey this most recent past year teaching 7th grade U.S. Studies.

I love traveling and recently was inspired to go back to the University of Minnesota to study abroad in Mexico to learn Spanish during their summer term.  Some of my other pasttimes include watching football, spending time with my family and friends, and staying on top of my favorite TV shows!
