Screenagers Movie September 13 at 7:00pm

Please join us at the Washburn High School auditorium for a viewing of the movie "Screenagers".

"Screenagers" is a personal look at how families are coping with kids and screen time and how being connected to devices is effecting relationships and even child development. The film was directed by Delaney Ruston, a Seattle filmmaker and physician. You can see a trailer for the movie here.

This movie is a must watch for parents with pre-teens and teens. This film dives deep into how technology impacts kids' development and the challenges of parenting in the digital world. SCREENAGERS probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including the director's own, and depicts messy struggles, over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through surprising insights from authors and brain scientists solutions emerge on how we can empower kids to best navigate the digital world. Children are welcome if they can sit through the movie; no childcare is provided. Admission is FREE thanks to the generous support of the Field PTA, Washburn HS and Washburn Foundation.
